MEET ASHLEY BAER

Ashley Baer is an educator currently in the role of Wellness Coordinator for the Forsyth County School District in Cumming, Georgia. She has spoken nationally at various conferences, including Model Schools, National Youth Advocacy & Resiliency, The Culture of Empowerment Conferences, and the Teen Wellness Summit. She has been a Keynote Speaker and spoken internationally at the University of Bologna for the International School Psychologists’ Association on Creating Wellness in School Communities. Her district was one of twelve districts out of the United States chosen for Innovation by the Model Schools Conference for the Mindful Breathing Program, which she created and implements across her district. Ashley brings a passion and belief that breathing and movement are the foundation of all learning. She believes a culture of mindful breathing needs to be in every district, school, and classroom across this country and practiced by every leader, teacher, and student.  In addition, she is an adjunct professor teaching Mindful Breath and Movement at the University of North Georgia in the elementary education department. She is a mindfulness coach for NFL players and pro-soccer players and leads international wellness retreats. She volunteers for Persevere, a non-profit, teaching women in prison this foundational life skill.  Before this role, she was the facilitator of mindfulness instruction, creating and conducting a Mindfulness Pilot program in partnership with the School of Public Health and the School of Psychology at Georgia State University. Ashley has been an educator for over twenty years with a master’s degree in Special Education, a Bachelor's in Sociology, a certification in Yoga, as well as Mindfulness and Meditation, and she is a certified Health & Wellness Coach. She is a meditation teacher on the worldwide meditation app Insight Timer. She is committed to helping everyone she meets address their anxiety and stress so they can create wellness and live their best lives.
